The search is now on to find the pub food industry's top talent in the PubChef Food Excellence Awards 2009.

There are 18 categories in this year's awards, 10 in the chefs' competition, five pub company and three people awards.
The chefs' competition involves a five-month search for the UK's top pub chefs, from chefs entering recipes and background information on their food businesses to a paper judging and cook-off finals at the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board Meat Service(formerly the MLC) offices in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
The pub company award categories include Food Operator of the Year, Food Concept of the Year and Accommodation Operator of the Year.
People awards include Food Pub Manager of the Year, Pub Chef of the Year 2009, Catering Development Professional and the Special Achievement Award, which recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the pub food industry.
All the winners will be announced at Plaisterers' Hall, London, on 12 March 2009. A menu devised by the Pub Chef of the Year 2009 will be served at the awards night.
